Connor McNeil is a first-year doctoral student in the Human Development and Family Studies program at Purdue University, working with Dr. Annabelle Atkin. He identifies as a Filipino-Irish Canadian. Connor was born and raised in Ontario, Canada and later completed his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at McGill University in Montreal, where he worked as a research assistant under the mentorship of Dr. Keita Christophe, and Dr. Patricia Silveira, before coming to Purdue.
Connor's research interests are focused on racial-ethnic identity development among Multiracial adolescents, the role of parents, family, and other sources in this development, and how these factors are related to broader mental health.
Outside of academics, Connor enjoys spending his free time playing video games, watching films, reading comics, and spending time with his friends and cats.
