The Multiracial Census Project


The Multiracial population in the United States has grown A LOT in recent years, increasing 276% between the 2010 and 2020 U.S. Census, such that they now comprise 10% of the population! However, racial identity is complex, especially for Multiracial Americans, so Dr. Minniear and I wanted to know, how do Multiracial Americans make decisions about what boxes to check on the census?
